Here at Need More Ditka, we feel that freedom of speech is paramount. That said, we would like to set some ground rules for posting comments. Feel free to make fun of anything that has been written or bring up a point that Sweet Lou speaks like ALF, but always try to keep your comments within the boundaries of good taste. There are a few rules that will be upheld to the fullest extent of Blog Law. They are as follows:

  • Absolutely no racial attacks of any kind. If anything you write could be construed as racist you will get the heave ho. Race has nothing to do with anything we will be doing here and negative racial comments only make you look like a fool. Anyone perpetuating or agreeing with overt racism will be given the “he gone” treatment with the utmost of haste.
  • No sexist, xenophobic or religious remarks. This goes to the same effect as the racism ban. UnlessĀ  you are discussing the religion of Ditka. That’s fair game.
  • Have a point. No FIRST posts or meaningless ramble. If you need to include a thesis statement to keep you on point, do it. This site will take judicious time to write the articles, the least anyone can do is have a point when you rip them apart.
  • Keep cursing and obscenities to a minimum. Obviously, there are apt times to use non dictionary words, but don’t overbear your comment with crude babel. You will be warned if you are being overly lewd mouthed.
  • Bash away, but don’t make attacks personal. Everyone in Chicago loves a good Cubs or Sox suck argument, but leave the mothers and personal stuff out of the discussion.
  • If you are going to link to something that might be not safe for work make damn sure that it is marked NSFW. In a tough economy we can’t have people losing their jobs over someone’s lack of warning.
  • Don’t threadjack. If you want to make an off topic point, send the site an email. They will be read and they will be responded to personally and possibly on the site. If you want to write something to follow a story, send it to NeedsMoreDitkaBlog@gmail.com. If it is found to be worthy (likely) it will be posted on the site.
  • No ketchup on hotdogs. But that’s a given.

Have fun, be chill, think before you type. It’s easy, it’s overstated because it is obvious, but that is the NMD policy. Adhere to it and we’ll all have a good time yeah.
